I paint because I like to paint. I paint from nature because
I enjoy the lines and shapes nature creates.
I like to lose myself in the crisscrossing lines of a bird nest,
the shape of cloud, the curve of a hill.
It’s like stopping time.
I paint plein air because it’s a great excuse to sit under a tree.
I stare at the clouds attempting to capture them before they change, never the same shape or color again.
